Which kind of VPS is it? Is it a full VPS or just an MT4 instance? Is it a real machine that you control remotely or you simply upload the .ex4 and dll files? What you can do it try to make the MT4 connect to the best server available from your broker. To do so, right click the red/green triangle in the right/low corner of the status bar.
