MSFX – MT4 Tick Sender
Salve a tutti,
this is a small free software developed by a guy (MSFX) that helps EAs like Leo Trader to keep communications with the main server always active and updated by sending “fake” ticks to the MT4 platform.
As you know, indicators and EAs are only run when there’s a new tick in the chart. Usually there’s not problem during the London and the New York session, but during the asian session the number of ticks (updated of the chart price) can be very slow. This may cause a lag between the time the order is sent in the server and the time the order is fetched by the client (you Leo Trader Pro EA).
To keep that communication always active we can use this software that can let us send ticks to ALL the open MT4 platforms up to 2 times every second.
I’ve uploaded it into my server as MSFX web server is no longer online.
Here’s the link to download the MSFX-MT4 Tick Sender:
http://www.forexcrescendo.com/downloads/MSFX-MT4TickSender-Setup.exe
All you have to do is install it.
Double click the “MSFX – MT4 Tick Sender” icon on your desktop.
You’ll see a small window showing when it sent the last tick and let you set the “Refresh” time in milliseconds. 500 is default.
That’s it. You can hide it and let it run in background.

Hi Everyone,
Since LeoTrader is Brand Spanking New…. and everyone is NOT have fun with it (yet) and since Andrea is promoting it….maybe Andrea can run his “LIVE” account using LeoTrader for all of us to observe…. Perhaps Andrea can get all the bugs out of it so we don’t have to pull our hair out! Just a thought….
Yep! Leo Trader is PANTS. I bought it and it nearly blew my entire account in 2 days. Got a refund. I am fed up with these marketers taking our money and then using our hard earned cash to trade using their S*** software. My advice get a refund and learn how to trade manually.
Hi Dave
My advice is check out my live LEO account which is set up and working perfectly.
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/Succe55/leotraderpro/74943
I am sorry that you have not had a positive experience but what qualifies you to slag off this EA and people who designed it?
I have used Leo since day 1. I had similar issues to everyone else at first. I did some research, took some advice, made a decision to NOT TRADE over Christmas and my patience and diligence is now paying off.
It seems to me that you need to have a bit more patience and learn to place your trust in others
Happy trading
Graham
PS I am also studying a course on manual trading, whilst quietly letting my portfolio of 4 EA’s make some steady profit in the background
Ciao Benhamida
LOL
I think that those who are managing Leo Trader are the same who have managed Lehmann Brothers to the big crack!
Blaine, thank you very much for your suggest about MSFX
Hi Andrae
I missed the trade. Please tell for your primary licence how many charts do you have open one or two?. If one, is it EUR/USD or GBP/USD?. if I open two charts for one licence my MT4 crashes. So I learned the hard way one chart per licence( just want to make sure when i open the chart which one will it be.Manual syas open chart for EUR/USD.How the EA will trade the other pair that we did not open a chart for?
Can you help undestand this
Cheers
Benhamida
Benhamida, I missed the GBP/USD trade too…they show one opened on thier live account…hummmmmm good thing this product is issued through clickbank as they will refund your money. I think Leo Trader Pro is a good concept but needs lots more work I think it’s very difficult to launch a product for trading that will be compatible with so many computers and operating systems…well good luck everyone….Andrea you rock I will stay with crescendo for now..thanks for the looking at Leo for us all….
Alessandro
It is the number of charts u use that make it crash. how many licences do you have? one or two?.One chart per every two pairs per chart. example: EUR/USD and GBP/USD one chart for both for one licence number. i used it that way it never crashed.and their support confirmed that to me
Benhamida
Thank you Benhamida for clarification that you only need one chart per each license. Many of us that have both licenses are trying to load the 4 charts, when all we need is two charts. Thank you very much very helpful information.
Well Andrea, I think we have arrived to the end line with Leo, I’ve lost my patience.
I’ve just receive the notice that a new version is available (after only one day since the first release, that’s a record! LOL!!!!).
I’ve reinstalled everything and …..guess what??!! EVERYTHING CRASHED!!
I’ ve made a second attempt and….guess what??!! EVERYTHING CRASHED!!
This is a comic better then Oliver and Stan, it has been amusing but I’ ve had enough of them.
I think Leo should change work, maybe a clown at Moira Orfei’s Circus.
This is absolutely not professional.
Don’t worry, it’s not your fault, we all know it, but next time you should choose better your partners.
I hope all that mess do not call you away from what is important, you have to complete some important features of Crescendo, because we want to be ready-start-and-go just after christmas holidays and not one more day of delay.
Cheers
Ale,
Happy holidays!!! Sorry bout your lion. I do enjoy your sense of humor!!
Peroni!!!
Ale,
Sorry could not resist…

Alessandro,
I purchased both versions of the EA. I am now about ready to call Clickbank and get a refund. No trades, just crashes.

We cculd start a class action LOL!!HA!HA!HA!
Oh dear
After I got it working on Monday and stabilised. ( no trades – but that is expected this time of year ). I have just downloaded and installed the updated version of the ex4 and ddl file just released today.
Result, crash after crash again. This thing really isn’t stable. I would hate to open a position and then have the thing crash on me ( I run forexVPS ) so the best thing I think is switch everything off and come back after the holidays with it.
Seasonal Greetings to you all. I am sure this will be a good thing once the teething problems are ironed out. And let me take this opportunity to thank you Andrea for the superb Crescendo and all that you do for us. Truely a breath of fresh air.
Dear Andrea, thank you for sharing with us this software, however I need your help I install it in my vps, but when I try to run it shows me this error “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the operation”.
I will appreciate your comments,
Fausto.
I am seriously thinking the best way to trade with LEO is to get a refund and then watch both of their live accounts 24/5 and manually place the same trades as them
Only kidding
A Happy Crescendomas to one and all
Graham
Graham, the best way is forget it!
The best way is to use the secret settings I posted yesterday
Hi Andrea,
Thanks as well for trying to help us with Leo Trader. I’m done as well. It crashes continually.
I like Crescendo a lot though, and I look forward to your suggestions on other EAs that may help us diversify.
Behnamida,
thanks for your suggest, anyway I have already found the best solution: I wan’t open neither one chart for Leo.
Do you know what? The only thing I could open for that Leo is the gate of the Zoo…and do you know what more? I’d open it only for the first entry, no more releases after that, closed for the life!
LOL!!!
Alessando
I tell you it is a crude Beast.
Ben
Hello All,
Stan here. I just want to wish you guys happy holidays and i wish all the crescendinos the best for now and in the coming year. Andrea! thanks for your powerful EA and I am making some serious pips with the crescendo 1.2 version.
Peace and Love to the World
Stanley, FL USA
HEY Jim!! You’re great! HA!HA!HA!
I’m sure the lion of the film is much more smarter then Leo.
Hold your hands!!!
Peeeroniiii!!
Anyway there are a few EAs with neural system that run well and are serious. As french say…cherchez la femme!
same with me, leo had opened buy at g/u on my demo-account on 22th of december, but had not opened anything on my live-account. I have default slippage of “3″, perhaps is need to increase it to 4 ?
today i had received an update of leo, which i installed then:
new feature found: “pending order 0.03″ now you can better see, what you get with risk-levels in the “-” area…
new is also that the ea is responding to “F7″-options and if options are applied (“ok”), the ea is not crashing anymore… well done…
andrea, could you please ask them about the disco-light. what’s the deeper meaning of if??
Ciao Andrea,
How important is this MSFX – MT4 Tick Sender?
Do you suggest ALL Crescendinos install this for LEO?
or do you mean it is optional by personal preference?
Ringrazia molto
Stephen
I wanted to confirm that LeoTraderPro tech support says that in order to trade both EURUSD and GBPUSD you only need to put the ea on EURUSD. This is for anyone who was still unclear as I was.
Thank you Steve great information. Happy Holidays
Hey Guys,
Happy Christmas to everybody.
I was just wondering if anybody knows if Leo Trader Pro will work on the IamFx VPS without any issues.
Hi Michael M
Yes leo works in Iamfx VPS.but not Crescendo they say crescendo will work on their PS by Jan 15.
Cheers
Benhamida
Andrea, thanks for the Tick Sender – I just played around with it & it brings up EA displays much faster during quiet periods with slow tick data.
Hi Steve
Yes we just need one chart E/U to run Leo..and lets see the result…
I installed new version and at the screen I can see I have one pending order of lot0.6 I do not whats that mean…Andrea can guide us..From start to until now he is giving us best FAQ..I think Andrea u have to concentrate at Crescendo instead of Leo..We like Crescendo and want it u make it more better and we want to with it…Happy Chrismess and happy holiday..
Hi Andrea
Thanks for the useful Tick Sender. Works very well in my WinXP, uses hardly any resources, and will be useful in weekend development, too.
I, for one, have not forgotten how to spell C-r-e-s-c-e-n-d-o. From a quick scan of the blog, I thought I was trapped in the rushing stampede of Shoppers Saturday at the Mall.
Occasionally, I have to stop our EA to point it in the right direction. But after that, it chugs along on its own without attention to log the pip income. I always preferred my faithful VW-beetle over those smokey, diesel Benz models.
I’m experimenting and back testing with the MTF Score by selecting groups of MTF’s, such as M15-M30-H1, H1-H4-D1, D1-W1-MN1. If I find something interesting, I’ll be in touch.
Warmest Wishes for this season and the New Year !!
Hi there my Leo is now working did the first trading after i put the new updated EA.I think all will be ok if we all have patience
The F7 key is now working and no more crashing of the platform . I put the riak at 0.7 then we will see wat will hapen next. However do anybody know if we can run the leo on other brokers or is it only for 1 broker account?????
Erik,
Where did you find the new updated Leo EA?
Thanks,
Bill NY, USA
Had my first trade open on leo. The price was 2 pips different to their live account (so I assume the other three trades were outside the default 3 pip slippage). A difference like this could have a massive impact on the profitability as the targets are so small.
I’m testing leo on a £500 alpari uk micro account. Set my risk to -5 (5%)and the pending order size on the text said 0.11. As an alpari micro account has the same pip value as their regular account (0.1 = $1 a pip) this was actually risking 50% using the 330 pip stop. Leo must “think” that the pip values on alpari are 10 times lower on their micro account than the regular which is not the case. So if using the risk setting, then -0.5 would be needed rather than -5. Contacting support to let them know, but just a warning to alpari users in the meantime.
HI JIM D,
I HAVE A $2000 MICRO ACCOUNT WHAT SETTINGS SHOULD I ENTER IF I WANT TO RISK 5% OF MY TRADING CAPITAL?
Contacted support regarding the trade size problem with alpari uk micro account. The response was to tell me to use finfx as they do. Very helpul!
One live account at a time from my testing, but I managed to switch live accounts by disabling the first then loading onto a different live account.
Has anyone received a reply from Leo Trader Support regarding the crashing? I’ve submitted a ticket, but haven’t heard a word.
Thanks,
Bill

LEO Trader Pro statement
The crash is usually caused by attempting to change settings without removing it then reattaching it to the chart. Replicators like LTP need to be removed from the chart then reattached to change settings – the manual explains to right-click the smiley face then select Expert Advisors -> Remove, then you can drag the EA back to the chart from the navigator panel. Please reopen you MT4 and attach the EA with correct settings. Please don’ t change anything when the robot is attached to the chart.
Also be aware that it is necessary to attach the EA one chart only. Otherwise it will also be a crash
Thanks for your reply, Christian,
I’ve tried it every which way to Sunday. Still crashes. I am now becoming very frustrated with the Leo people. They are not answering any of my emails and as a result, I feel as though they are not concerned. They haven’t even posted anything on their blog either about the crashing. No service whatsoever to speak of. ZERO communication.
I am also in agreement with many above that Andrea should concentrate on Crescendo. Having his attention divided between Crescendo and other peoples’ EAs could ruin one’s rapport and credibility with the troops. Is it really worth it to be distracted from the Crescendo project?
I do hope that the Leo thing pans out. However, at this time, it doesn’t look good with regards to communications with them. So far, the Leo thing appears to be a “signal service with a robot on the other end” instead of a real person. That in itself require a large amount of trust and comfort on the part of us traders. So far, NOT so good.

OK. Here’s an update. I found an email from Leo Trader recommending that the ex4 and dll files be updated. Results: been there, done that, got a tee shirt. STILL crashes.

Bill

Just got this from LTP support:
We recommend to install different versions of LTP into different instances of MT4 trading platform.
To trade both EUR/USD and GBP/USD currencies , just attach robot to EUR/USD chart. If you want to trade only one currency , fill “AllowSymbols” field in EA settings as it is described in users manual at the page 20.
To trade both USD/JPY and USD/CHF currencies , just attach robot to USD/JPY chart. If you want to trade only one currency , fill “AllowSymbols” field in EA settings as it is described in users manual at the page 20.
Reattach EA to the chart. Please click right mouse button on the chart , click on Expert Advisors and Remove , then restart MT4 and attach LeoTraderPro to the chart again . Also note , that above step is needed in case , if you will need to change any of EA settings. RiskLevel field in LTP settings should be filled with value different from 0 . Make sure , that Receipt code is entered correctly.
Thank you for sharing with us this software, however I need your help I install it in my vps, but when I try to run it shows me this error “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the operation”.
I will appreciate your comments.
Leo wrote email shortly, having inbuilt a “kind of ” tick-sender allready. did I understood it right, i don’t need the tick sender, if I have leo installed and running?
this is a important question to me, because i found, if leo and the ticksender both are running at the same time, I found one crash of my mt4. I have removed the tick sender now and since that day don’t have suffered a crash then…, did anymobdy experienced similar?
For all those having problems with Leo and who feel like giving up:

I have a few ideas for anybody using Leo.
1. Use minimum lots
2. Where Leo has Take Profit, use that as your stop loss.
3. If you get stopped out early, you’ve made a quick profit.
4.If you don’t get stopped out, then hedge against it.
5. Using your technical skills work out where the low or high is and sell or buy in the direction that Leo has set it’s Take Profit.
Here’s two examples of trades still waiting to unfold:
1. On 30/12/2010 Leo Sold EUR/USD @ 1.32197 T/P (S/L) 1.31947
Actual S/L 1.35497
The trade is actually making a loss and is within touching distance of its stop loss. So hopefully it will turn just before 1.35 and start moving in direction of it’s Take Profit. So Short EUR/USD just before the stop loss or about now.
2. On 29/12/2010 Leo Bought USD/CHF @ 0.95136 T/P (S/L) 0.95339 Actual S/L 0.91853 .
I think this is why the vendors at Leo are asking if your broker allows hedging. Not only that if you look at Leo’s trades you’ll find alot of the trades last for hours sometimes days which means the price has gone in the opposite direction.

So don’t be quick to give up on it. If you’ve got loads of money (which I haven’t!) and you’ve got the technical skills and chart reading skills USE IT!!!
….but beware, it won’t be long before brokers realise what is happening!!!!!

If you’d hedged against Leo’s Take Profit on USDCHF and sold 0.40 lots at its BUY 0.95136 then bought at it’s low you would be on the verge of making about £160.00 now. I might be wrong because I can never work out the pips
…and on EUR/USD you’d be making another £160 approximately!!! If you had both robots you’d have made nearly £400 in four days.

Remember Leo has only lost one trade on the Euro pairs I don’t know about it’s history on the Dollar pairs. I bet all those in the know at Leo hedged their bets and are rolling in it!!!

e.g Alpari UK, they claim to be NDD ECN Brokers, but they’re not unless you have over 10K in your account. It’s a club and money buys you the invitation. Forget ‘MY WORD IS MY BOND’ It’s a load of rubbish, they’re no better than Loan Sharks.

Good Luck and take every broker to the cleaners!!!
I use & like the tick sender a lot but I encountered something which could derail an EA which has the option for setting Auto GMT function. I leave my MT platforms open on my windows VPS during the weekend so they are ready to start when the market opens first thing & also the tick sender running, but I discovered this can result in Metatrader starting up at market open with the wrong GMT where an EA is set to Auto GMT. With the Tick sender running it picks up the wrong GMT from the open platform with a frozen market watch time from when the market closed previous week & doesn’t correct it even when the marketwatch resumes unless you re-start Metatrader. So the solution for me was to set manual GMT for any EAs where it is an option in the settings. I encountered this situation once before with GO Markets when not using the tick sender where it opened with wrong GMT when set on Auto GMT & opened a trade on FAP Turbo at completely the wrong time, so now I never trust the auto setup for this. You just have to watch for seasonal daylight saving changes if setting it manually of course.
Hi Andrea
Do we still need to run this tick sender with the NEW version of LEOTrader v1.12?
Cheers
Graham
mmm don’t think so
Many Thanks Andrea
Keep up the GREAT work my friend
