MSFX – MT4 Tick Sender
Salve a tutti,
this is a small free software developed by a guy (MSFX) that helps EAs like Leo Trader to keep communications with the main server always active and updated by sending “fake” ticks to the MT4 platform.
As you know, indicators and EAs are only run when there’s a new tick in the chart. Usually there’s not problem during the London and the New York session, but during the asian session the number of ticks (updated of the chart price) can be very slow. This may cause a lag between the time the order is sent in the server and the time the order is fetched by the client (you Leo Trader Pro EA).
To keep that communication always active we can use this software that can let us send ticks to ALL the open MT4 platforms up to 2 times every second.
I’ve uploaded it into my server as MSFX web server is no longer online.

All you have to do is install it.
Double click the “MSFX – MT4 Tick Sender” icon on your desktop.
You’ll see a small window showing when it sent the last tick and let you set the “Refresh” time in milliseconds. 500 is default.
That’s it. You can hide it and let it run in background.

My platform is still crashing after several re-installs and downloading the Robot several different times. I put in a trouble ticket to Leo Trader support and they advised me to install a fresh download of both the platform and robot. It’s Still crashing. Does anyone have the same problem? It will run for about 3 or 4 minutes before it crashes.

Hi Andrea,
However, I’m not sure why it should be useful with LeoTrader. As you told in your previous post this EA runs in an infinite loop, then it does not require new incoming ticks in order to communicate on a regular basis with LeoTrader servers. That is why pressing the F7 key it is difficult to open the dialog window showing the EA’s parameters.

I know but it’s not said that the loop helps in that.
It depends on how they coded the client. I didn’t had the chance to look at the code
In any case… when using signal EAs I use it always and they have no lagging that way. So better have it, than not

Do you need to open a new forex account or you could run it together with Crescendo?
You can run on the same account.
There should be no problems with that.
When trying to use leo trader, I keep getting a ‘terminal.exe – application error’. The error message is ‘the instruction 0×00000000 referenced memory at 0×00000000. the memory could not be read.
Does anyone have any idea what is causing this?

Hi Charles,
two things… if you’re using Windows Vista or Windows 7 try running “terminal.exe” with Administrator rights.
If that doesn’t help or is not your case, then try installing it on a fresh new MT4 installation.
If that doesn’t help write to Leo Trader Pro support.
If that doesn’t help tell me that I’ll try to speak directly with Leo’s god

Is the EA with 4 currencies only to be installed to one account?
Leo’s recommand highly the FINFX, but I am with Alpari,works fine now but has no trades at all.Normal? I have also other Live accounts, but give many errors. (FXCM and IamFX) so I let it with Alpari, but is a very small account. What do you think?

Has anyone had success with MSFX — MT4 Tick Sender with the FXCM VPS? Has anyone with a FXCM account successfully installed Leo Trader?
I could not log onto the Leo Trader account to checkout the details before it went on sale. I think its something to do with the Boston Technologies MT4 bridged to FXCM. When I entered the account number & password for Leo Trader and nothing happened.

You have to download their trading platform which is FinFX and they give you the link to download the MT4 platform. Once you download the MT4, then put in their account number and investor password and presto you can see it trading live. As of this reply, only the USD/CHF, USD/JPY pair are trading and they were executed on 12/20/10. No trades so far on 12/21/10. I hope this helps. A presto, Rob
Yea I did. FXCM VPS Australia.
Massive problems. Every error there was I got it.
Killed the FXCM VPS MT4 numerous times.
LTP is very memory hungry, look at your VPS speed when you add LTP. Mine went from 1200+ to like 24 => crashed VPS every time.
To solve this problem I had to clear 50% off my VPS harddrive – ie no demo account, minimal charts 4 only – 2 crescendo, 2 LTP, all minimized, with 5000 bars only, NO indicators on charts, cleared my VPS cache etc etc. Finally got LTP running last night. What a nightmare. Still working this morning so thats a bonus. Hope this helps.

How to get the MT4 Tick Sender working on a FXCM VPS
This worked for me – try it at your own risk.
All care, no blame, just trying to help.
If your not computer savvy, I suggest get help from your VPS support team.
Download the MT4 Tick Sender as per Andreas link and run it on your personal computer (not the VPS).
A new folder will be created in C:\Program Files called MistigriFX
In this MistigriFX folder will be another folder called MT4 Tick Sender.
This folder has the programs that need to be set it up on your VPS in the correct location, or it will not work on your VPS.
Note the location is not C:\Program Files on your VPS.
That’s why the auto install does not work on the VPS.
The two programs we need are – MT4 Tick Sender.exe and ininst.exe
Open your VPS – go to your user account where you installed your EAs.
For me that is
C:\Documents and Settings\vpsuser1\Program Files (x86)
At this level, make a new folder called MistigriFX
C:\Documents and Settings\vpsuser1\Program Files (x86)\MistigriFX
Next I minimize the VPS and go back to the folder on my home computer in
C:\Program Files called MistigriFX
I right click the MT4 Tick Sender folder and copy.
I then paste this MT4 Tick Sender folder into the new folder you just created in the VPS
C:\Documents and Settings\vpsuser1\Program Files (x86)\MistigriFX
It takes awhile but the new folder MT4 Tick Sender will appear.
So now you have
C:\Documents and Settings\vpsuser1\Program Files (x86)\MistigriFX\ MT4 Tick Sender with the two required files.
Open this new folder.
C:\Documents and Settings\vpsuser1\Program Files (x86)\MistigriFX\ MT4 Tick Sender
Right click on MT4 Tick Sender.exe and Send to Desktop (create shortcut).
Double click, either MT4 Tick Sender.exe or the new shortcut and the MT4 Tick Sender will start on your VPS desktop – working!

Did you download the MT4 from FinFx or just copy / paste of the details in your MT4? Try to download the MT4 of FinFx if not done already and you should be able to enter the investors account…
I keep swapping between their live account downloaded from Finfx (and working) and my VPS (Ultrahosting)
No trades on their account either – although their’s only trades EURUSD and GBPUSD
I begin to think that they won’t trade until after Christmas – get depressed and then have a cup of tea

- my psychedelic lights are not constantly green, they float between orange and green, is this right?
- can the EA run at the same time on 2 different account in 2 different mt4 on 2 different vps?
- I choosed -1 for risk % with 0.01 lots on 1.000,00 of balance, is this fine?
- which are best settings? this is mandatory!

the journal in their live account says the EA’s have been disabled because the account was changed and now no trades allowed. Is this why it aint trading?

On the finfx account there is no different colour bars illustration like in the last page of the book. Does this mean that my leo is not

EA installed and working with “disco-light”. No trade at all at the moment. But as far as I see at the LIVE account of LEO: They just closed an open position and didn’t open any new position.
When I click on the LINK to download “ResistenzaFX.ex4″ I get a bunch of ˜¯±¾\2îéîø²œ«cÃoŠG¥Ë)Á—ÄÇ¢K can you tell me why and how I can fix it.

right click the link and select “save as” and put into your desktop.
then copy it into yout MT4 installation dir/experts/indicators.
reopen MT4 and you’re done.
I think that is because we have logged on with an investor password and therefore do not have access to their live trading, but can watch it….

Same situation here from 24H no trade with Leo…Crescendo is best robot I think If I compare it with this Leo Trade..I started Crescendo from 1st release..In start its made me upset but with time being when I understand its logic I feel comfortable with it..V1.2 is better than V1.3..This is my thinking..because I am running V1.3 at demo and its closed two time G/J in big loss because counter trend change and it was in True in setting so thanks it was Demo..V1.2 have no problem..I just bought Leo as per Andrea advise..I want to see Leo few days more and if I could not get some positive result as I read at different website about this EA basically its a SCAM EA..NN is running by some guy and if guy got drrunk and press wrong key ..its mean our all account will be blow up..what I read at different web site about this EA..Some one saying they just want to boost FINFIX and produce this scam EA so I am reading different comments from different peoples..so what I understand Crescendo is better and I will request to Andrea make it more better and add more pair to trade…Andrea Happy chrismess and Happy New year ….

Went and got the JPYCHF option to add to my basket of EAs for diversification. Figured that Andrea will make something better for the pairs he has today.
Running in a VPS on demo for now…probably not much fireworks until next year when the market comes back to life.
as finfx dont have vps capabilities i wont download their bMT4 platform could someone verify when they have a trade placed on their “LEO” program.

It will work for about 3 minutes with disco light and everything and than crash. Could you please help me with what’s going on.
It did work last night for about 4 hours without crashing at all, but since this morning only crashes i get.

The settings are fine as there’s nothing that we can choose about the strategy.
If it’s not trading then it means that there’s no good pattern

I downloaded Mistigri MT4 Tick Sender to VPS Remote Desktop Windows 2003. It installs to Desktop as a “Shortcut,” and it will not open to the “little clock” as it says, “It can not find original. I tried a search on line and downloaded it to VPS remote PC, but got a “Shortcut” again. (Same Problem) If I try on Windows 7 on home computer then I get original that opens to the little adjustable tick sender clock, just as you described. I tried uploading as a ZIP file from origin, and I always get an inoperable “Shortcut File” Can’t seem to figure this out. ???

I am not expecting Leo to trade for me now. Just wanted it to stabilize. with this EA it feel s like siting on a chair with two legs LOL every time you stand up it crashes LOL. It Crashed my MT4 at the same moment it started trading.What a deal. Leo Trader was over sold not up-sold.Time for Viagra/Valium cocktail 50/50 HA HA HA AHA

I agree that we should have focussed on what we planned to do with Crescendo. If a new EA for the portfolio was introduced, its activity should have been segregated in a separate blog.
I just got a read out on LEP Chart EURUSD (where Text Interface displays on other EA”S)

I meant to ADD to the other LEO INFO, that I posted earlier, that the other THREE LEO PRO charts, all on one MT4, for me, … do not have that “System paused….” displayed – nor do they have any kind of display!
I have NEVER had anything displayed in the area of normal TEXT INTERFACE with any of the 4 LEO’S charts, until NOW in the EURUSD (1H time frame) chart only. All four LEO charts are set to one Hour time frame, but Andre commented and assured us that TIME FRAME of any chart for LEO TRADER PRO is not a concern or a required setting,
I hope I am correct in saying this. Is that not true Andrea? And Andrea; please comment if there should be a TEXT INTERFACE display with LEO, please. Thanks! I think it is active or initialized without any TEXT INTERFACE, but want assurance that this is a true statement

Andrea, I had an issue with crescendo, it opened 47 trades on the GBPJPY almost at the same time, and than it closed all of them losing around $60. I don`t undarstand what happened, also, I don`t know how to deal with a almost 40% drawdown on the GBPUSD. Can you suggest something about this?

Since I bought Leo Trader Pro one and two, I have done everything by the book, unfortunately I can make it to trade.
As soon as everything is set and running. My MT4 crashes.
I have removed the EA and re attached, same thing is happening again and again.
Also before I had Error boxes:
- Runtime error 216 at 06875F9A
- Runtime error 216 at 06EA5F9A
- Runtime error 216 at 06EF5F9A
- Runtime error 216 at 06E65F9A

Thank you Rod and Andrea for your well wishes for Christmas 2010, and for the coming year, 2011. They are appreciated and very well received.
I think too, as Rod stated, that our frustrations are strung a little thin, in regard to the many issues we have all experienced with LEO.
I am in agreement with Rod, that we should remain patient. I feel we will all start out in 2011 with our ever faithful, encouraging Andrea, leading us to new achievements that he designs or codes within Crescendo, as well as the earnest desire of the LEO TRADER PRO TEAM to convey to us their desire to make LEO deliver what it is designed to do.
NOTICE: Andrea just announced that LEO TEAM will be releasing a .dll file shortly, to be installed into our Libraries folder, no doubt. This may help a lot.

Same here. All seems fine, but no trade. Andrea, how do I close a support “ticket”? I’ve asked 2 questions and had them answered, but they still show as “open” and because of this can’t ask any more. Must be a simple way to close them that I’m missing.

In order to avoid that I believe, the following needs to be done
dd_based_frequency = false
trend_following = false
Also the frequency should be higher than 0.

I know talking about Crescendo is off-topic now, but I`m still worried about all the 57 trades opened at the same time on the GBPJPY. Traderjoe, are you talking about the DD on the GU or about the issue on the several opened trades with GBPJPY? I am not referring to specific DD for GU or GJ. The EA settings need to be as I mentioned, to the best of my knowledge.
I think you should send a request to the Crescendo support or may be Andrea can clarify further.
this MSFX-MT4 Tick Sender is wasting ressources. I found over 30 K when run and this is even higher than the terminal.exe with only 17 to 29 K. Why is this Sender with so much K? I think, for just to send a few ticks, it should be a much smaller program. Andrea, can you program yourselve, I think, you could do it much better…
Hi, and Merry Xmas all. I have the same problem as Hussein and others – ie Leo Trader crashing. (I’m running it on a VPS.) Thanks to Andrea and Dean for news about the potential .dll – I will wait to see whether that works. In the meantime you have saved my head and wall from a severe bashing.
