Just a quick note to say how GREAT it was to get your help to download your EA. I could not get aurthentication,BUT with your QUICK response {email] with your quick fix I was able to get it up and running. THANKS.
I have found with other EAs that the biggest complaint is ” NO REPLY “for help and it is GREAT to get your HELP.
If the EA works like your service it will be GREAT.
Peter.
Have to tell you what when I hit the button to buy we had a 4.6 earthquake aftershock (Quake Crowe NZ for info). Now after 4th Sept when we had 7.1 and over 1000 aftershocks, a 70th birthday, new knee, deperation sets in when it goes to hell in a handbacket, so thanks to the team for what might be a ray of sunshine badly needed in Christchurch, then I heard Marks accent thanks Mark gave me confidence as I know we dinnie have any Scottish scammers. From a wee Tranent Belter.
Dear I grew as a broker trades activ okay as a platform has the cross on MetaTrader4: GBP / JPY 6pips of spreads, while on the cross GBP / USD 3 pips tell me if I buy the robot with these spreas or not, expect a Answer please.
Antonio Barletta
Ciao Antonio,
no problem with those spreads even if you can find much better ones out there.
Anyway… the impact of spread on Crescendo performances is very low.
Just bought it, and it look promissing. Is there a way I can change the Comment? I like to hide it from my broker. I think they can see the comment
Thanks
Hi Jim,
the target is 40$ (in my account) but it is reached with multiple orders. So there may be orders with big gains like the one that you reffered to, but also loss. What you know for sure is that the total value of all the open orders opened at once is you target_profit, in my case 40$ on a $1000 account is 4$.
First, let me say Thank You for your hard and great work – Crescento is working “smoothly”- (“placed” with three different brokers from different parts of the world with three different demo accounts); to be exact:
$1000/00.1 = $77.99 ( Russia)- since 2010.09.30
$1000/00.2 = $127.22 ( England) since 2010.10.04
$5000/ 0.1 = $403.40 ( USA) since 2010.10.06
Its biggest “power” is consistency; ability to make “small but sure steps” (40 pips).
Andreas, we all know that in order to make a money in trading we need three basic “components”:
working system (Crescendo)
patience (up to us)
discipline (Up to us)
I think, with Crescendo and as above, we are very close to succeed on this field. There is only one thing, I believe, that is still missing but extremaly important – Automatic Compounding. Small “gains” + automatic compounding = final success. Every successful trader uses this simple “formula” (compound account) because it works in long run changing accounts big way.
So, the question I want to ask you is: Can we expect automatic compounding soon?
Another question: If I want to keep my current record of tradings what I have to do in order to apply a new version of Crescendo?
And the last question: Cruscotto is “freezing” my Meta 4 platforms! – how to fix it?
ciao Andrea,
Ciao e buon lavoro
Hello Andrea,
I just want to comment that your EA is making me some serious trades that are profitable on FXDD acccount. I have 3 FXDD account and they are all profibale with your default settings. Please keep up the good work and thanks a million for creating such a powerful and profitable EA with the lowest risk in the market.
CATASTROPHE
We have been told that a catastrophic loss is highly unlikely to happen and is there for a most unusual set of circumstances…AND….this is also one of the reasons given for not carrying individual stop losses on a per trade basis. We know that the Maximum DrawDown is limited to 30% of capital and it is reported that the previous highest actual exposure witnessed did not exceed 20% of capital.
WELL
Let me now advise that the above just ain’t so ( in our real world) – I have just lived thru a CATASTROPHE which quite quickly robbed me of 30% of my capital – in this instance some $252.89 in a matter of a few days. My settings are absolutely standard or default – so, nothing strange in that area.
The real problem hinges on Crescendo lack of ability to remotely select the best entry point and then once that is wrong it follows this up by constantly digging a deeper and deeper hole by continuing to take more and more positions ALL in the THE WRONG DIRECTION.
In my case the standard default took a clearly wrong direction SELL trade on GBPUSD on 28 October 2010 and then followed this with 5 further SELL trades…..everyone clearly going deeper into the yawning bottomless pit.
At the same time GBPJPY set out to do exactly the same sort of hole digging exercise by absorbing 4 positions ALSO going in the absolute wrong direction.
FINALLY, on 4 November….just 7 days later, the whole mess ran a loss right thru the Castrophe level and BINGO, I now face months of slowly trying to get back to even the old starting level. Try thinking how many days of $4 profits it takes to achieve $250….and you are in the ballpark.
Am I disappointed……YES
Am I giving up………NO
All I ask and hope for is that Andrea might, at long last, deliver a better method of trade selection than the one we have lived with from inception….AND, hopefully, keep us away from the sort of hole I just went into….. head first.
I accept and understand that Crescendo is a work in progress, but disappointing I had to be one of the ones who fell into the hole before Ver.1.3 could save us from this sort of disaster.
Catastrophe
I am running one live account and 3 demo accounts with crescendo. And I am impressed. And the support is great too.
Like Rics, one of my demos went down about 25% but has since recovered to a DD of about 8% and made profit while doing so. It does seem strange taking further trades in the same direction as the losing one, but on the whole it seems to work most of the time. I used to do it manually some times and there are occasions when it does make sense – the effect can be to bring a losing trade back into an acceptable level of loss, or better still, to a profit as the market turns around again.
But I do like the looks of v 1.3 and can’t wait to install it.
I came close to giving up on FX, but crescendo has kept me in the game.
I truly believe you have a great EA for us. I’ve been thinking about a reduce risk strategy on your EA. I want to start off with a $10,000.00 account using your EA. You suggested a $10,000.00 account with 1 GBPUSD chart should set to initial_balance 10000, lot_size 0.10 and target_profit 40. I think that is a lot of risk for 1 chart if the trades start to goes against me. Do you think I can use 10 GBPUSD charts with the setting on initial_balance 1000, lot_size 0.01 and target_profit 4 on each chart. Also set each chart with a different magic_number and a different server_time_shift so each chart trades will a unique. For having a unique trade for each chart, I can have 4 out of 10 charts goes against me instead of having 1 big chart goes against me. My account also allows hedging so if one of the chart started off long and the other chart started off short that will also reduce my margin as well. I have a question that you may know the answer if I can use ten charts instead of one on a $10,000.00 account. The question is if I can use multiple charts to reduce my risk, should I set the initial_balance 10000, if the max_total_DD close out all positions on the account or set the initial_balance 1000, if the max_total_DD close out all positions on that chart ONLY and NOT close the positions on the other charts??? Please let me know what you think
Hi Richard. I like a lot your idea and I think it can be interesting to test. That way you spread the risk. It’s what I plan to do for the future versions of Crescendo but using different pairs instead of different server time shift.
So, what I suggest you is to test it on a demo account and see what happens before going live.

Page 8 of the User Guide shows a ‘Best Trade’ of $450.3 on May 10th
I am puzzled how this is achieved when the target is $4 per $1000 capital and there are only up to four trades per day
What am I missing

Hi Andrea
Love your EA. Working beautifully on a live Fxdd account. Almost 2 weeks and at 5.75% gain.
I have the same problem as Milosz, the cruscotto keeps freezing my MT4 platform. Was there a fix for this?
Remeber to enjoy life and not work, work, work only.

I am wondering if its posible to create a EA trading on oil or gold

Already working on Gold
